Qmail-localfilter is a modest spam-blocking/mail-filtering tool, largely derived from SpamAssassin. The program, consisting of perl scripts, is mainly intended for individuals/small groups who run their own domains and manage their own mail servers. It was written to work with qmail, and it is targetted for English speaking mail systems.

An open source program that runs in conjuction with a most mail servers to detect "spam". Using its rule base system, it adopts a wide range of heuristic tests on mail headers and body text to identify "spam", also known as unsolicited commercial email.
